Gaming the Future: CMU and Toyz Electronics Inspire Young Innovators Through Tech and Community

Networking in Pittsburgh Pittsburgh Tech Week was an exciting opportunity for Toyz Electronics to connect with innovators and other entrepreneurs who share a passion for accessible technology and education. Throughout the week, Toyz Electronics showcased its website that empowers young learners, particularly those from underserved communities, to get an education through hands-on experiences. Location: Swartz Center CMU Date:  July 19, 2019 Description: On July 19th, 2019 Toyz Electronics held a workshop at Carnegie Mellon University Swartz Center with Sam’s program. We invited students from 11th and 12th grades and we had over 50 students engaged in two sessions for them to gain exposure to exciting introductions to STEAM.

Date: December 9, 2021 Description: Hosted by the University of Pittsburgh’s Homewood CEC, the community engagement center, 70+ students got a variety of exposure to different areas of gaming coding. Storytelling robotics advanced manufacturing and also heard from the entrepreneurs behind Toyz Electronics. They were able to learn about career connections, animation, and gaming robotics.
